Selection Rectangle

When a user control object is selected in the EOS SCADA Editor, a selection rectangle showing the boundaries of the object is displayed. This rectangle clearly indicates the position and boundaries of the selected object within the design area.

The line color of the selection rectangle can be changed to provide sufficient contrast with other graphical elements on the screen.

Usage: To change the line color of the selection rectangle, click the F9 (Function 9) button.

Changing the Line Color

When the selection rectangle of a user control object is displayed, pressing the F9 key changes the line color of the selection rectangle.

The same operation can also be performed by clicking the F9 (Function 9) button in the EOS SCADA Editor.

When the selection line color is changed, the boundaries of the selected user control object are displayed in a different color. This makes the boundaries of the object within the design area easier to identify.

Tip: If the selection rectangle is not sufficiently visible against the current background, a different line color can be selected by using the F9 function.

Application Steps

The following steps can be followed to change the line color of the selection rectangle:

  1. Select a user control object on the screen.
  2. Check the selection rectangle displayed around the selected object.
  3. Click the F9 (Function 9) button.
  4. Check that the line color of the selection rectangle has changed.

Summary

In the EOS SCADA Editor, the line color of the selection rectangle displayed when selecting user control objects can be changed using the F9 (Function 9) button.

This feature makes the selection rectangle easier to identify against different screen designs and backgrounds, facilitating screen editing operations.
