Alignment buttons can be accessed in two different ways:

  1. Use the ALIGN button on the Quick Access Button Bar.
  2. Right-click the selection rectangle of any selected control and use the ALIGN button in the settings window that opens.
Reference control: In the second method, the user control whose settings window is opened is used as the reference control for the alignment operation. The values of the other selected controls are adjusted according to this reference.

2. Deleting a User Control

To delete user controls, first select the control or controls to be deleted. The controls can then be removed from the screen using one of the following methods.

  1. Use the DELETE button on the Quick Access Button Bar.
  2. Right-click the selection rectangle and use the DELETE button in the settings window that opens.
  3. In the SCADA tree menu, select the relevant screen under SCREENS, right-click the control, and select DELETE SCREEN OBJECT.
  4. Select the control on the screen and press the Delete key on the keyboard.
ATTENTION: Before deleting, make sure that the correct user control or control group has been selected.

3. Copying / Pasting a User Control

A prepared user control can be duplicated using the copy/paste method. First select the control to be copied, then perform the copy and paste operations.

  1. Click the COPY button on the Quick Access Button Bar, then double-click the cursor that appears at the desired location on the screen to paste the control.
  2. Right-click the selection rectangle of the selected control and use the COPY button in the settings window that opens.
  3. In the SCADA tree menu, under SCREENS, right-click the control and select COPY SCREEN OBJECT; on the target screen, select PASTE SCREEN OBJECT.
Keyboard: The INSERT key on the keyboard can also be used for the paste operation.
Different screens: User controls can be duplicated between different screens using the copy/paste method in the tree menu.

4. Bringing a User Control to the Front / Sending It to the Back

The BRING TO FRONT and SEND TO BACK functions can be used to change the visual priority of overlapping user controls.

  1. Use the BRING TO FRONT or SEND TO BACK button on the Quick Access Button Bar.
  2. Right-click the selection rectangle of the control and use the relevant button in the settings window that opens.
  3. In the SCADA tree menu, under SCREENS, drag and drop the control to change its visual priority on the screen.
ATTENTION: The user control located at the top of the tree structure has the lowest visual priority on the screen. To bring a control to the front, it must be moved downward in the ordering.

5. Undoing an Operation Performed on the Screen

The user can undo an operation performed on the screen by using the UNDO button on the Quick Access Button Bar.

Keyboard: The source content indicates that the Control-Z combination and the F11 key can also be used for the UNDO operation.

6. Redoing an Undone Operation

When the user wants to reapply an operation that was previously undone, the REDO button on the Quick Access Button Bar can be used.

Keyboard: The source content indicates that the Control-Z combination and the F12 key can be used for the REDO operation.

7. Adding User Control Groups to the Library

User control groups can be created and added to the library for reuse. To do this, select the user controls to be stored as a group and click the ADD TO LIBRARY button on the Quick Access Button Bar.

In the Add to Library window that opens, the group can be added to either the General or Project library.

Library Scope
Project The added group is displayed only in the menu screen of the relevant project.
General The added group is displayed in the menu screens of all projects.

To add the group, first enter a group name and select the library type. The Project library is selected by default. When the ADD TO LIBRARY button is clicked, the group appears in the relevant list.

The same library tools window can also be used to delete created groups and transfer them between libraries. When the window is closed, the General and Project groups are displayed as two categories under the LIBRARY menu in the Menu Bar.

8. Adding a User Control Group from the Library to the Screen

Groups added to the library can later be reused on screens. To do this, select the group to be added under the General or Project groups in the LIBRARY menu.

Double-click the cursor that appears at the desired location on the screen to place the selected group on the screen.

Key advantage: Reusing previously prepared groups speeds up the design of similar screens and facilitates the creation of standardized interfaces.

9. Using Text in User Controls

Although alignment settings for text displayed in user controls can be configured automatically, some controls may require the text to be manually split.

Especially when the text on a button is long, it may be desirable to display the text on two lines. In this case, @ENL or [ENL] (Environment New Line) can be inserted at the position where the text should be split.

Example: If the text “START MOTOR” is to be displayed on two lines, it can be formatted as START@ENLMOTOR or START[ENL]MOTOR.

10. Adding Industrial Shapes to the Screen

Users can add more than 4,000 shapes from the industrial shape library to the screen and associate them with data. Depending on the value of the data received by the user control, animations such as color changes, shape changes, or blinking can be created.

The INDUSTRIAL_LED user control engine was developed to allow objects in the shape library to be used on the screen. The user must add this control to the screen and configure the required shape settings.

To add INDUSTRIAL_LED, double-click INDUSTRIAL_LED with the left mouse button in the Tools panel; then double-click the cursor that appears on the screen.

  1. While holding down the SHIFT key, select the INDUSTRIAL_LED user control with the left mouse button.
  2. In the properties list on the left, click the DefaultLibraryImage property for the default shape.
  3. Click the relevant LibrarySelectedImage property for each level.
